Bianca Tschaikner is an Austrian-born Illustrator and Printmaker. After a brief fling with comparative literature in Vienna, she studied media design at the University of Applied Sciences Vorarlberg and used her exchange semester in Santiago de Chile for extensive travels around the South American continent, which finally inspired her first illustrated book about South American food.
After having finished her studies, she went to live in Tangier, Morocco, travelled through India, Central and South East Asia and, after falling in love with Italy, recently settled in the beautiful city of Florence, where she is studying printmaking.
Her favourite work is drawing maps of exotic island and illustrating cookbooks. Besides that, her favourite thing to do is exploring the world with her sketchbook on hand.
